...but I'm still here, I promise. This semester seems like it would be ridiculously easy, but it's kicking my ass all over the place.
I'm gonna go with a rundown of courses, to start:
Aztec Culture and History: Actually, a lot better than I thought it would be. The professor, our academic dean here at UMM, is very animated, which is what I need when I haven't had enough sleep the night before (that would be right now. See me not sleeping?!) Of course, I've only had the class once, so check with me in a week and we'll see how I feel then.
Con Law-Civil Liberties and Civil Rights: Yeah, this one hurts. Big time. Did I mention that I suck at legal lingo? I may have to rethink this whole PoliSci minor because this class sucks. I mean, I actually have to study for it. Who studies in college? (Yes, that is sarcasm, I'm not actually that dumb) But seriously, I suck at this class. Hopefully once I get a pattern going and figure out the best way to do all the reading and remember all the old and new cases I'll do better, but for now, yuck. Thank God it's with Thorson or I just might have to shoot myself.
Problems in Geography: This class is an exact repeat of the geography class I took in high school with Mr. Gross. Easy A, but makes the class extremely long, boring, and repetitive. At least the prof has a sense of humor.
Renaissance to Modern Art: I have this as my only MWF class and frankly, I kinda like that. Makes it seem more like a four day weekend, which only means good things in my book. Now to just not fall asleep in the dark looking at paintings. I'm hoping to see slides of some of the ones I saw when I was in Madrid, just so I can go "Ooh! Ooh! I saw that! I saw that!" just so I can look smart and well-traveled.
Anyway, I'm back to residents and ORL, dealing with lots of meetings, weird eating and sleeping schedules, and the increasing complexities of interpersonal relationships. Frankly, Con Law is kicking my butt so bad that life happens in the little moments my head isn't stuck in that book going "What are these people saying??? Speak English damnit!"
Yeah.
