It's been a heck of a day...

Today has been up and down, to say the least. With good points and bad points, I have to say that the day has been mostly positive...

After spending most of yesterday and last night by myself (interrupted when my wonderful roomie and I went to Dairy Queen and I had a raspberry cheesequake blizzard) watching The Princess Diaries, eating popcorn, and drinking black raspberry tea (can anyone tell I like raspberry?) I went to sleep and got 8 hours, waking up before my alarm. I sat around watching bad Saturday TV and the occasional decorating show (I love those things).

Made the mistake of calling the boy to ask him a question at 1 in the afternoon...he wasn't up yet! Grr...but oh well, some lazy butts will never learn. He finally showed up about 2:30 and we had a serious chat...with a few things sorted out, that really needed it for our sanity, I think...

Then my friend Jake came over and I satisfied the itch I had all week to cook an enormous amount of fatty food and feed it to more than one person...I made nachos, milkshakes in various flavors, pumpkin crunch (my grandma's recipe, it's like pumpkin pie with yellow cake mix and butter on top...yum!) and Jimmy D's world famous chocolate chip pie...The only problem is that I had a moment of kitchen lysdexia and put the pie in at 425 for an hour instead of 325 for an hour...oops! Both Jake and Patrick were appreciative and stuffed, even though Jake has yet to try the pie (it's fine once you scrape the burned part off!!!)

Now there's a thunderstorm outside and Patrick and I went out onto the deck behind my apartment to watch...we got wet, but it was fun, with lots of lightning (and snuggling, please do your best not to throw up)...then dishes, and here in a bit, bed...

So I just realized that I updated you all on my day, even though none of it was most likely that important, but it's a sorta typical Saturday here in boring but oh-so-wonderful Morris...now if I could just convince myself that tomorrow is not Monday, everything would be fine...
