I'm back.
Sonshine was a freaking blast...not much of a voice left the next night at work, apparently it was pretty funny how much croaking I did. Oh well. That's what I get for screaming, right???
Saw John Reuben (surprisingly where I lost most of my voice) and he was superb as usual. Has a new CD out, but decided not to spend the money on it there, as was hoarding the cash until I found The Roosevelts' booth.
Next was my darling Roosevelts, but after buying their new CD (finally!) realized I had been duped. The Roosevelts that I saw my first year at Sonshine are not the same Roosevelts we saw last year or this year...the guitaurist was the same, but the lead singer and drummer have changed! I have the liner notes to prove it. They're still really good (could have fooled me) but I kinda miss my original Roosevelts. Anyway, got the new album and a button, hooray! (By the way, the CD is fabulous!!!) It was awesome...they finished their set and the crowd started screaming "One more song! One more song!" and they did...I love them :-)
Saw Reliant K, and surprisingly they were a bit of a bust...of course, they also had major technical difficulties...the main problem was that all the songs they played I either didn't know and couldn't sing along, or were so old that I'd heard them so many times I was getting sick of them (even Sadie Hawkins Dance has lost its appeal). Whatever...then, gloriously, Switchfoot took the stage...hooray for Switchfoot is all I have to say, and it took them long enough to get their butts there!
Anywho, worked for two nights, am off for the next two...Yay for sleep!

I looked up all the bands playing at sonshine and I havent heard of 95% of them. I know who switchfoot is due to their two big radio hits we were meant to live and dare you to move. I ve heard of Relient K they have a really cool song out called be my escape, did they play that one. Otherwise I have no Idea who Reuben and the Roosevelts are, to me that sounds like a sandwich and a few dead presidents.Glad to hear you had fun though.
Yeay for sonshine! I wish I could've been there with you Dana but I had class and work Thursday and Friday that I couldn't get out of but I loved that u called me before you saw the Roosevelts :)
Maybe next year I'll be able to go again, or I can hope I can go, that's way too far from now.
Have a good day/night whenever you read this :)
